Victoria Memorial : The pride of Kolkata is a large building made of marble. Its construction was started in the year 1906 and it took almost 15 years to completed i.e. it was completed in the year 1921(nearly 100 years). It was made in the memory of Queen Victoria, the then British ruler. It engineers were William Emerson and Vincent Esch. It is basically a museum where all kinds of stuffs of Queen Victoria and other stuffs like weapons, armours, of that age are preserved.
It is covered by a very big beautiful garden from all sides which enhances it’s beauty even more . A very beautiful park is also made beside the Memorial which is usually for citizens and it’s speciality is its water show at the evening, park name is Citizen Park. The view outside and inside the memorial is really heartwarming ❤️
